The 3rd kabaddi World Cup 2012 saw its third consecutive win, as India won the men's final by crushing arch-rivals Pakistan by 59-22 in Ludhiana on December 15, 2012. India secured the kabaddi World Cup Title, in both men's and women's category. India winning the 2012 World Cup kabaddi received the prize money of Rs.2 crore. Pakistan winning second place received the prize money of Rs.1 crore while Canada clinched the third prize of Rs.51 Lakh.

Sixteen teams competed for the total prize money of Rs.6.29 crore. The men's final was a repeat of the women's team final. It was a one-sided match in which Indian women team thrashed Malaysian team and Indian men team thrashed Pakistan team. Throughout the matches, India dominated the game and its raiders kept bagging points. Ekamjeet was declared the best stopper and Gagandeep Gaggi was chosen as the best raider of the tournament.
