Asian Championships

The Asian Championships are the different sports contests and competitions that are organized on an Asian level. These events include both indoor and outdoor events in which Asian countries can take part both at the team and individual level. The different types of sports in which players and athletes participate are as follows:

Badminton, Baseball, Cross country running, Basketball, Futsal, Boxing, Judo, Figure skating, Karate, Handball, Rugby union, Swimming, Table tennis, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Shooting.

All these events are biennial events which take place after every two years.

Asian Cross Country Championships	In 2009, it was held in Manama, Bahrain. The 2011 edition, scheduled to be hosted in Kathmandu, Nepal has been postponed.
FIBA Asia Championship	In 2011, it was held in Wuhan, China.
FIBA Asia Championship for Women	In 2011, it was held in Omura, Japan
Asian Amateur Boxing Championships	In 2011, it was held in Incheon, South Korea
AFC Futsal Championship	In 2010, it was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Asian Judo Championships	In 2011, it was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Asian Figure Skating Championships	In 2011, it was held in Dongguan, China
Asian Women's Handball Championship	In 2010, it was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan
Asian Men's Handball Championship	In 2010, it was held in Beirut, Lebanon. In 2012, it is going to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Asian Swimming Championships	In 2009, it was held in Foshan, China.
Asian Karate Championships	In 2011, it was held in Guangzhou, China.
ARFU Asian Rugby Championship	In 2004, it was held in Hong Kong.
ARFU Women's Rugby Championship	In 2004, it took place in Hong Kong
Asian Volleyball Championship	In 2011, it was held in Teheran, Iran. In 2013, the event is going to be hosted by Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Asian Table Tennis Championships	In 2009, it was held in Lucknow, India. The 2011 event which was scheduled to be held in Beirut, Lebanon has been postponed.
